Our pastor has been going over a series of messages that are titled "Problems that Perplex" . This was a timely message for our family. We have been have some disciplinary problems with Tyson. This points out the awesome message of 1 Peter 5:6-10. This was originally part of a comment I made on another blog. I decided that it should be posted here. We must continue to WALK in the Spirit. Yes, we have to WALK how the Spirit leads us, BUT WE have to WALK! Christ has given us a higher law than the law of Sin. We must walk in the power that He gives us. Our pastor used the example of the law of gravity. Gravity is always effecting us, but they are higher laws that can defy the law of gravity. Just as a plane gets enough speed, the law of aerodynamics takes over and supersedes the law of gravity. In this same way Jesus Christ has given us the POWER to walk in the SPIRIT and NOT according to the flesh! For all of those that give their life to him, we have that blessing! Over the past several months my job has demanded more and more of me. I've had to miss a lot of good Wednesday night services and miss a lot of time with my family. I honestly think that I have let my focus get diverted with worldly ambition. I can tell that my lack of focus has paid a toll on my entire family with our attitudes, our conduct, and our kindness.
